SEE YOU SMILING AT ME FROM THE RAINBOW
Swarna Thirumalai

My eyes search for you, as I mope around in misery, my Christ.
My spirit yearns to reach and touch, place my fingers on your face
How can you love me with such passion to go die on the cross for me?
How is it that your heart resonates with deep desire for pitiful me!!
You have carried me long and far with much care, my Christ
Come Creator King, with warm hands hold me again as I shiver
From the cold loneliness that creeps into my soured soul
From the cruelty of those that care not if I stand or fall!
On the empty, abysmal aberration of my mind, my Christ
Pour your healing and redeem your faithless child
When despair and delusions take a hold of me, You dear Shepherd
Come and look for your lost sheep, put me on your shoulders!!
When you find time, send an angel my way, my Christ
Human or angel, no matter; to push, pull, and get me up
To help stand, to walk and run to you - I need a little help
To crawl away from the enormous pit I've fallen into these many years!
Then will my mourning turn to joy, my feet begin dancing, my Christ
My apathy fade, as I call you Abba again without hindrance
I'll lift my heart and hands to worship you, my sweet Lord
Can I one day love you with the same passion you have loved me with?
I want to love again, my Jesus, my Christ!
I want to sit, close my eyes, see you on your throne, or smiling at me from the rainbow
I want to say your name and leap, step on those once powerful demons
Crush them under my feet as I twirl around with my Christ!
